JA Namibia, in coordination with Aflatoun and the Financial Literacy Initiative, recently conducted trainings for "A Guide to Financial Fitness" to encourage financial planning and awareness among the next generation of Namibian leaders. The first training, held from 6-8 August 2012, prepared master trainers from Khomas, Hardap, and Karas regions to train teachers in the Aflateen curriculum. Upon being trained, the new master trainers trained commerce teachers from Khomas region on facilitation techniques and topics from "A Guide to Financial Fitness." The Aflateen curriculum will soon be introduced throughout the country following the pilot phase.
